term paper topic

i've come to the conclusion that it would be a good idea to start writing generally about blogs: what they are and what types exist. this would help me get a good overview of the topic and give my teacher some insight before tackling the big thesis project. if these general topics prove to be too little for a term paper, i'm thinking about extending it to a history of blogs and a brief overview of technical aspects.

i pitched the idea via e-mail to my teacher today - let's see what she thinks.
